Sarrainodu Telugu Movie 2016 Cast, Plot, Production, & Release
The captivating soundtrack and background score for the film were composed by S. Thaman. Sarrainodu hit theaters on April 22, 2016, and garnered a mixed response from critics. While Allu Arjun and Aadhi’s performances, action sequences, cinematography, and music were applauded, the film received criticism for its screenplay and character development.
However, despite the mixed reviews, it emerged as a remarkable commercial triumph, becoming the second highest-grossing Telugu film of 2016, following Janatha Garage. The film’s popularity led to its dubbed version, titled Yodhavu, being released in Kerala a month after its original release.
Plot
Gana, a former Major in the Indian Army, decides to abandon his military career and takes on the role of a vigilante. His objective is to deliver justice to corrupt individuals who have evaded punishment due to flaws in the legal system. Gana is raised by his paternal uncle Sripathi, who supports his cause, but his father Umapathi disapproves, criticizing him for lacking a clear purpose in life.
One day, Gana is assigned to visit a neighboring village to meet his potential bride, Mahalakshmi Jaanu. She happens to be the daughter of Jaya Prakash, a close friend of Gana’s father and a former IAS officer. However, during his visit, Gana crosses paths with Hansitha Reddy, a local MLA, and is smitten by her. To avoid disappointing his father, Gana fabricates a story, claiming that Jaanu rejected him due to his involvement in frequent fights.
