Hugh Jackman, an Australian actor was born on 12 October 1968. He was born in Sydney, New South Wales. Both of his parents Grace McNeil and Christopher John Jackman were English and moved from the UK to Australia in the UK shortly prior to Hugh’s birth. As the birth of British parents, he is a holder of British citizenship as well as Australian citizenship.

He started his education at Pymble Public School and went to the all-boys Knox Grammar School for secondary education. The year 1987 was the time he was able to take an unplanned gap year during which was employed as a teacher of physical education at the Uppingham School in England. To earn his BA degree in undergraduate studies which he earned with a focus on communication. He attended the University of Technology, Sydney. University of Technology, Sydney, and graduated in 1991.

He was born in Sydney, Australia. The parents of his father, Grace Watson, and Chris were English and Hugh was the youngest of five siblings. His mother left the family when Hugh was only eight years old and the kids were raised by their father who was a Cambridge University-educated accountant.

While attending Knox Grammar School, Hugh was a part of a production of My Fair Lady. The actor graduated from the University of Technology in Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a concentration in journalism.

Personal Life

In the year 1996, He married Deborra-Lee Furness in 1996. They had met on the set of Correlli his first TV acting part. After Furness was miscarried twice the couple welcomed two children: Oscar (b.2000) as well as Eva (b.2005). The family lives in Melbourne.

Early Acting Career

Hugh Jackman’s first film credits included Paperback Hero and Erskineville Kings. His stage credits include performances on stage in Beauty and the Beast and Sunset Boulevard.
