Mayank Yadav debuted professionally in Twenty20 for Delhi against Manipur on October 11, 2022. He made his List A debut against Haryana on December 12, 2022, and his first-class debut against Maharashtra a day later.

Bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs. 20 Lakhs in the February 2023 IPL season, Yadav debuted in 2024 against Punjab Kings, grabbing three wickets and clocking the fastest ball at 155.8 kph. He earned the man of the match title. In the following game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he took 3 wickets, with his fastest ball reaching 156.7 kph.
