Personal Life

After making his debut film at the age of 17, Kalyan married in 1997 to Nandini. Kalyan and co-star Renu Desai started living together in 2001. Their daughter Akira Nandan was born in 2004. In the magistrate court, Nandini brought an action for bigamy in the case of Kalyan at the end of June 2007 alleging that he married his costar, without divorcing her.

In reply, Kalyan claimed that he was not married to Desai. The court of the magistrate in Visakhapatnam was able to dispel any allegations because of a lack of proof. Then, in July of 2007, Kalyan applied for divorce in the divorce court for families in Visakhapatnam in the belief that Nandini had walked out on his wife when they got married.

Career

Akkad Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, made available in 1996, marked Kalyan’s first acting role. The second film in which he acted was Gokulamlo Seeta, released in the year following. Kalyan then featured in 1999’s movie Tholi Prema, which was directed by A. Karunakaran and won six Nandi Awards in addition to the National Award.

In the wake of Tholi Prema, Kalyan played an opponent in the film Thammudu. The film Thammudu written and directed by P. A. Arun Prasad also written and directed came out on July 15th, 1999.
