She was born on 5 January 1986 in Copenhagen, Denmark in a Hindu Brahmin family. Her father was an Indian Badminton Player Prakash Padukone and her mother Ujjala Padukone works as an agent for travel. Her family relocated to Banglore (Now Bengaluru) when she was just one year old. She attended her primary school through Sophia High School Banglore, and then she was enrolled at Mount Carmel College for her Pre-University education.
