Anwar Ali has settled in Karachi, Sindh for a long. He belongs to the Khatana Gujjar clan. His family moved into the city of Swat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa when he was young. He worked in his early days working in a factory and ironing socks.
Anwar Ali is a professional with Colne Cricket Club in Lancashire, England, in the Lancashire League. He joined North Down Cricket Club in Northern Ireland for the 2012 season as the club’s professional. He is currently a part of the Pakistan Senior Cricket team. Anwar Ali is from an upper middle-class family that lives in the vicinity that is Orangi Town Mominabad.
Domestic Career
In April of 2018, He was included in Balochistan’s team for 2018’s Pakistan Cup. In March of 2019he got selected for Punjab’s team of this year’s Pakistan Cup.
He was picked to represent The Rotterdam Rhinos in the inaugural edition of the Euro T20 Slam cricket tournament. The following month, however, the tournament was canceled.
In September of 2019, the player was selected as a member of Sindh’s squad to play in his 2019-20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament. In November 2021 He was picked to be a part of the Galle Gladiators following the players’ selection to play in 2021’s 2021 Lanka Premier League.
International Career
Anwar Ali played his T20 debut with Pakistan on October 12, 2008, in the match against Zimbabwe. He played 2 overs and scored 19 runs and did not take one wicket. Anwar returned to the field against Zimbabwe, and He took 2 wickets in both games. Pakistan took the series 2-0. After his good performances against Zimbabwe and also in domestic cricket He was granted the ODI cap. He scored 43 not out. He also scored 2-26 in just 6 overs.
