Arijit was born on the 25th of April 1987, (36 years old by 2023) into an upper-middle-class family from Jiaganj town in Murshidabad district, West Bengal. Presently, Arijit Singh is one of the most well-known and leading singers of Bollywood Hindi songs. He was born in Jiaganj and finished his schooling and college in the town of his birth.

Their musical career began when his mentor advised him to join an audition show called Fame Gurukul(2005) where the show ended up in 6th place. Then he took part in another television show called 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil and was crowned the winner.

Arijit Singh decided to move to Mumbai and set up a recording studio with the winnings. He began composing music for radio stations, advertisements, and news channels. He also collaborated with music directors such as Shankar Ehsaan-Loy, Mithoon, Vishal-Shekhar, and Pritam and he gained a lot while working with them. At the same time, he improved his voice.

He graduated from Raja BH Singh High School and then attended Sripat Singh College. The college taught him Indian traditional music under Rajendra Prasad and trained him in tabla with Dhirendra Prasad. He also taught his students Rabindra Sangeet as well as pop music.

Education

Arijit Singh attended Raja Bijay Singh High School, before continuing his studies at the university’s affiliate Sripat Singh College. He said that despite his academic excellence the parents of his father chose to send him through formal training in the music he loved more.
