The batsman is right-handed and is a test cricketer with India and is also the team captain of India’s Saurashtra cricket squad in domestic cricket. Birth & Early Life

Cheteshwar Pujara was born on the 25th of January, 1988 Rajkot, Gujarat to a Hindu Brahmin family. The father of Cheteshwar Pujara Arvind Pujara was an ex-Ranji Cup player with Saurashtra. The mother of his Reema Pujara passed away from cancer at the age of 17 years old.

He attended school through Lal Bahadur Shashtri Vidyalaya, Rajkot as well as RM Chhaya High School, Rajkot. He also has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration degree.

Family

Born on the 25th of January 1998. Cheteshwar Pujara is from Rajkot, Gujarat on 25 January 1988. His family also has a background in cricket because both his dad Arvind and his paternal great uncle Bipin were both players for Saurashtra. Their talent for Pujara was noticed by his parents at an early age, as he would practice alongside his dad. But his mother died in 2005, when he was just 17 years old, following losing her fight with cancer.

Education

Cheteshwar Pujara studied BBA to complete his degree from J.J Kundalia College, Rajkot, Gujarat.

Personal Life

He got married to Puja Pabari on the 13th of February 2013 at Rajkot. The couple was blessed with a daughter named Aditi on February 23rd, 2018. He was also appointed as the brand ambassador of Gujarat by the electoral commission in 2014.

International Career

Cheteshwar was part of the Indian Cricket Team for the two-match in Test Series against Australia in 2010 replacing Yuvraj Singh. He was on the field for the second Test on 9 October 2010 in Bangalore after Gautam Gambhir, as well as VVS Laxman, were both injured.

In August 2012 he returned to the team and scored his debut International Test century of 159 in the match against New Zealand at Hyderabad. Since then, he’s been an integral part of the Indian Test Team. He scored around. 7000 runs over 96 matches for India.
