International Career
Neesham made his debut in the Test against India and scored an unbeaten 137. It was the highest debut score by the test number eight batsman. In June 2014, he scored 100 in his second Test in India in the West Indies, becoming the first New Zealander to achieve hundreds in the first two games of his debut.
Neesham was selected for New Zealand’s 15-man team of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. On the 3rd of January, 2019, during the first ODI game against Sri Lanka, Neesham scored 34 runs in just one over and hit five sixes. It was the most runs scored in a single over by any New Zealand batsman in an ODI game.
