Jyothika was born into a Punjabi family on the 18th of October in 1978. She has a father named Chander Sadanah who is a film producer Her maternal grandmother was Seema Sadanah. Her sisters from her past include Nagma (a renowned actress from the past) as well as Roshini. Suraj is the younger sibling. He is currently employed in the role of assistant director for Priyadarshan.

Education

Jyothika attended her school, the Learner’s Academy in Mumbai. She later was awarded a degree from Mithibai College of Arts, Chauhan Institute of Science & Amruthben Jivanlal College of Commerce and Economics with a degree in Psychology.

Personal Life

After finishing her education, Jyotika pursued a degree program in Psychology at the Mithibai College of Arts, Mumbai. She didn’t finish her degree and quit her studies halfway through to pursue acting as her profession.

In the golden era of her career, Jyothika had a relationship with the most prominent Tamil actress Surya Sivakumar. Their romance lasted almost three years before she was married on September 11th the 11th of September and the 11th of September. The couple now has an infant girl named Diya.

Career

Jyothika made her debut in 1998, in Priyadarshan’s Hindi film – “Doli Saja Ke Rakhna”. Her part in the film did not get much attention because the film did severely at the box office. She went on to produce a film that was set in South India. Her career began in Kollywood with a brief appearance in the film “Vaali” (1999).

The small part she played in the film earned acclaim from the crowd and filmmakers, too. The next few years were a golden period for her since she was given the female lead in films such as “Poovellam Kettuppar”, “Khushi”, “Rhythm” and “Snegithiye” All of which was successful in the theater.
