Lauren Katie Bell, born 2 January 2001, is an English cricketer. She plays for Berkshire and Southern Vipers. She previously represented Middlesex in Women’s Twenty20 Cup. Bell made her international debut in June 2022 for England’s women’s cricket team.

Early Life

Lauren Bell, an English cricketer, has represented the Southern Vipers and Southern Brave sides, as well as other teams. Because of her consistent achievements at the domestic level, she was offered the opportunity to represent England in June 2022.

Domestic Career

Bell played for Hungerford Cricket Club and was the first female to play for Bradfield College’s 1st XI. Bell made her debut in the Women’s County Championship for Berkshire at 14 years old. In 2015, she made eight appearances and took seven wickets. Bell was loaned by Berkshire to Middlesex in 2019 for the Twenty20 Cup.

She made her debut in 2018 for the Southern Vipers in Women’s Cricket Super League. Bell played in the final of the Women’s Cricket Super League for Vipers, which was lost to Western Storm. She was part of the Vipers team for the Rachael Highoe Flint Trophy in 2020. Bell was among 41 women cricketers who were granted a full-time domestic contract in December 2020.

International Career

Bell was a player for the England women’s Academy against Australia A in 2019. Bell was awarded an academy contract for 2019-20. She was one of 24 women selected by England to start training in 2020 during the COVID-19 epidemic. Bell was one of three uncapped members of the training squad, the other two being Emma Lamb and IssyWong.

Bell was selected in England’s A squad to tour Australia in December 2021. The matches were played alongside the Women’s Ashes. She was also added to the England full squad for the Test match in January 2022. She was one of the two reserve players for England’s 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup team in New Zealand.
