Her husband is the senior IAS agent Awanish Kumar Awasthi (UP:1987) who currently serves as the Principal Secretary of Awanish Kumar, who is the Principal Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Education

The postgraduate is a student and an athlete with a gold medal in Hindustani classical music at Bhatkhande University, Lucknow. She also won the gold medal in M.A. Modern History with a specialization in Medieval and modern Indian architecture, at the University of Lucknow.

She began singing in her teens and became a high-grade radio performer for All India Radio, and at the same time, she began appearing on different musical programs on Doordarshan. She is a regular performer at the 3-day Sufi music festival, Jahan-eKhusrau held annually in New Delhi, India.
