Morgan Reid (born June 13 the 13th of June, 1995) is an American Professional Soccer Player and Social Media Star who hails from Cleveland, Ohio. Her name is a common one: Grayson Allen’s girlfriend (American professional basketball athlete). He is a member of the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Morgan Nicole Reid Allen (born Morgan Nicole Reid; June 13, 1995) is an American former soccer player who was a defensive player. She played for the collegiate team in the NCAA Division at Duke University before being drafted by the North Carolina Courage in the fourth round of the 2018 NWSL College Draft.

Reid is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. She was raised living in Cary, North Carolina, and was a student at an exclusive Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, playing both basketball and soccer. She was a four-time letter winner.

A two-time team MVP and the team’s point guard. As a sophomore in 2011, Reid was invited to take part in a U.S. National Soccer Camp in California and was able to get an opportunity to play for playing on the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team.

Education

Morgan was a student at Cardinal Gibbons High School, which is a private college-preparatory Catholic school located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Following her graduation from high school she enrolled at Duke University, a private research university located in Durham, North Carolina.

Between 2014 and 2017, she was a member of the Duke Blue Devils women’s soccer team. She graduated from Duke University with an undergraduate degree in evolutionary anthropology.

Personal Life

Reid was raised in an active family. Her parents dated during their time at Ohio State University in the late 80s. Her father Brian was a wrestler on the team, and Cheryl Reid’s mom Cheryl participated in basketball. Their grandfather George Reid also wrestled and is a renowned coach, most notably as the chief coach of the University of Georgia. In 2010, he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Club Career

North Carolina Courage (2018)

In January 2018, Reid was drafted in the fourth round (38th overall) of the 2018 NWSL College Draft. She was not able to play the NWSL game for the Courage however, she did appear in substitute roles in two friendly matches with French Division 1 teams Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyon in the Ladies International Champions Cup. The Courage took the trophy.

International Career

Reid was part of the United States under-17 squad that took home at the 2012 CONCACAF Women’s under-17 Championship. The following year, she joined the group which made the trip to Azerbaijan during the 2012 FIFA Women’s World Cup under-17. They did not advance to the group stage due to goal difference, which was the first time that a team has lost without a loss.
