Namrata Shirodkar, is an Indian actress, producer, and former model, who is famous for her work in Bollywood. She was given the title of Femina Miss India in 1993. Her most well-known work is her roles in films like Kachche Dhaage (1999), Ezhupunna Tharakan (1999), Vaastav: Reality (1999), Reality (1999) The Reality (1999) Pukar (2000) where she won an IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Early Life

Namrata Shirodkar was born on the 22nd of January 1972 into a Maharashtrian family that is of Goan origin. She is the older sister of actor Shilpa Shirodkar and the daughter of famous Marathi actor Meenakshi Shirodkar who played the role of a character in Brahmachari (1938).

Personal Life

In the year 2000, Shirodkar met Telugu cinema actor Mahesh Babu during the shooting of the movie Vamsi. They began to date just after filming was completed. They got married on the 10th of February 2005, at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu during the filming of Athadu.

Shirodkar currently lives with her husband in Hyderabad along with her spouse. The couple has two kids -a boy Gautam Krishna (born in 2006) as well as an infant daughter Sitara (born in 2012).

Modeling Career

Shirodkar was a model and was named Miss India in 1993. She was a representative of India at India’s participation in the Miss Universe pageant and finished in the sixth position. In the following year, she was a part of India during Miss Asia Pacific. Miss Asia Pacific contest and was selected as the first second-place winner.

Acting Career

She played an uncredited role as a child artist alongside Shatrughan Sinha, in the 1977’s film”Shirdi Ka Sai Baba. Shirodkar’s debut film was supposed to become Purab Ki Laila Pachhim Ki Chhaila featuring Akshay Kumar as well as Sunil Shetty in the lead as well as music by Nadeem Shravan. The movie was never made.

The movie was finished following her retirement, and it was renamed Hello India but it is currently awaiting its release. Shirodkar made her first appearance by playing a minor role in her debut film Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1998) together alongside Salman Khan and Twinkle Khanna.
