Neeraj was born on December 24, 1997, in Chandra village in Haryana. Neeraj is the sole son of his parents, as well as their two daughters. His father works as a farmer while his mom is a domestic worker.
Neeraj completed his secondary schooling in his hometown, and after that, he moved to Chandigarh to finish his degree and was awarded the degree of Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College. The year 2021 was the time Neeraj received admission to Lovely Professional University in Punjab to complete his bachelor of Arts.
Athletic Career
As with many successful individuals, Neeraj also took inspiration from his weakness which was that his peers ridiculed him for his weight gain in the early years of his life. Due to this, his father allowed him to participate in a gym, and then he joined a gym at the Shivaji stadium in Panipat in India, where he watched javelin throwers for the first time and became interested in the sport.
International Career
The year that Neeraj was a participant in his very first ever international athletics competition that was held in Ukraine as part of the World Youth Championships. In this event, Neeraj failed to bag any medals but took his lessons and experiences with him.
This experience applied in 2014 during the Youth Olympics Qualification, where Neeraj won the silver medal by throwing 70 meters. Between 2014 and the year 2021 Neeraj was awarded medals at various international and national level competitions.
