Ravindra Jadeja (born on December 6, 1988) popularly referred to as Ravindra Jadeja is an Indian international cricketer. An all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls left-handed conventional spin. He was Captain of the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. He is a representative of Saurashtra in cricket first class. Ravindra Jadeja is considered one of the top fielders and all-rounders of the current decade.

Jadeja was born on December 6, 1988, into a Gujarati Rajput family in Navagam Ghed City, which is located in the Jamnagar district of Gujarat. The father of Jadeja Anirudh was a guard for a private security company. His father wanted him to be an Army officer, but his passion was Cricket and he was terrified of his father during his youth.

His mother Lata was killed in a car accident in 2005. The grief of losing his mother almost forced him to quit playing his sport. The sister Naina is an assistant nurse. He is a resident of Jamnagar.

Career

Jadeja began his career in cricket in 2005, playing in the World Cup for Cricket Under-19. India finished second, however, Jadeja was a hit with his score of 3 wickets during the game against Pakistan during the championship.

He was vice-captain of India’s Indian Cricket team for the U-19 age group which took home the World Cup in Malaysia in 2008. Ravindra made his debut in ODI in the ODI series against Sri Lanka on 8 February 2009 when he scored an unbeaten 60 off 77 balls.
