Early Life

Sakshi Malik discovered her passion for modeling during her college years and actively participated in fashion events and shows. Her love for modeling prompted her to move to Mumbai to pursue it as a full-time career. Since then, she has been working as a successful model for a considerable period of time.

Personal Life

Born on 22 January 1993 in a middle-class family in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Sakshi Malik completed her schooling in her hometown. After earning her B.Tech degree, she initially planned to pursue an MBA but changed her mind and decided to enter the modeling and fashion industry instead. During her college days, she participated in various functions and events, which piqued her interest in the entertainment industry and led her to approach modeling agencies.

Career

Following her graduation, Sakshi Malik shifted to Mumbai and began her modeling career, appearing in various television commercials for well-known brands such as Nykaa and PC Jeweller. In 2018, she made her acting debut in Bollywood with the film “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety”. The song “Bom Diggy Diggy” from the film became a hit on the internet in India, garnering widespread popularity. Additionally, she was featured in the music video for Armaan Malik’s song “Veham”.

In 2020, the Telugu movie V used her photo to depict a commercial sex worker, leading her to seek the Bombay High Court’s intervention. The High Court ruled in March 2021 that the use of her photo without consent was clearly unlawful and illegal, and ordered Amazon Prime to remove the movie from their platform. The movie was quickly taken down in compliance with the court’s order.
