Personal Life

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was hit with an extended illness in 2012. This caused her to be forced to opt out of major film projects and take a break of two months from acting. She was suffering from an immune condition and had an additional setback following the fact that her body was not positively responding to antibiotics. She started dating actor Naga Chaitanya back in 2010, and they married at a wedding ceremony in Hyderabad in January 2017. She is a fitness freak and is approximately 5’5” tall and weighs 53 kg.

Career

The first film she released was Indira Productions’ Gautham Menon directed by Ye Maaya Chesave. The film, which simultaneous remake of the Tamil film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa generated a lot of anticipation before its release part because of the soundtrack by A. R. Rahman.

The film won her an award from Filmfare award and Best Debut Actress for the film in both languages (Tamil and Telugu). She has been in more than 45 films. She has many awards which include the four Filmfare Awards, two Nandi Awards Six South Indian International Movie Awards, and three CineMAA Awards.
