Konidela Varun Tej (born 19 January 1990) is an Indian actor in Telugu films. Born into the family of Allu-Konidela He is the child of the actor Nagendra Babu. His age is 33 years old. He has been a part of 13 movies. Tej was first introduced to acting in 2014 in Mukunda.

Varun Tej is the child of Telugu actor and producer Nagendra Babu. He is a cousin to actors Chiranjeevi as well as Pawan Kalyan. The younger brother Niharika has also been an actor. Stars Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish, Sai Tej, and Panja Vaisshnav Tej are his cousins. He studied at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, and at St. Mary’s College, Hyderabad.

Career

Tej made his debut as a young actor in Dad Nagendra Babu’s movie Hands Up! when he was only 10 years old. He made his debut as an adult when he was just ten years old in Mukunda where he starred alongside his fellow debutante Pooja Hegde. The film received mixed reviews. The film was his second, War film of 2015 Kanche which starred him alongside Pragya Jaiswal.

It received a favorable critique from the critics. Tej’s performance in the film as Dhupati Haribabu received praise, from critics, with The Times of India praising his “capability to shift gears from intense to sobriety”. The film that he made in the year after, Loafer was a failure at the box office as was his 2017 film Mister.

The last quarter in 2017 was the year of Fidaa in which he portrayed the role of an NRI getting smitten by the village belle. The film was a commercial success, making more than Rs90 million in the theater. His film release in 2018 Tholi Prema was also a success at the box office in which Tej’s character as a youthful impulsive man was well-loved. The next film he made was a space-themed thriller Antariksham 9000 km/h, which was directed by Sankalp Reddy.
