AB de Villiers is a former South African cricketer who captained the South African team in all types of cricket. He is considered to be one of the top batsmen of his time, de Villiers was born in Warmbad in South Africa.
He was a cricketer from a young age but also excelled in various other disciplines, such as rugby, golf, and tennis. His first fame was in April 2008 when he achieved a double century during an international match against India being one of the very only South Africans to have ever done it.
He scored 217 runs, which is the highest score so far throughout his professional career. He holds numerous other records, including the fastest century in a Test by a South African and also the fastest T20 50 scored by a South African.

Abraham Benjamin de Villiers was born on the 17th of February, 1984 in Warmbad located within the Limpopo region of South Africa. The name of his father is Abraham B de Villiers and his mother’s name is Millie de Villiers.
He is the youngest of three brothers. Even though his father is an ophthalmologist, however, he was incredibly passionate about sports and he would encourage his sons to engage in sports.
Personal Life
AB de Villiers married Danielle Swart in 2013. The couple has a boy named Abraham who was born in the year 2015.
Career
Despite his expertise in a variety of sports, Ab de Villiers eventually made a decision to take up a career in cricket. He began playing for Titans Titans in 2003. He then was a member of the Carrickfergus Cricket Club in Northern Ireland as an out-of-country player the following year. In December 2004 He made his debut in the test against England. While he was only twenty years old the performance was highly acknowledged.

Ipl Career
As part of the IPL, ABD played the first three seasons with The Delhi Daredevils. Then, at the time, switched his base to the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the year 2011. ABD will wear the RCB shirt during the 13th edition of the IPL which will be coordinated by Dubai this time due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
