Ameesha also appeared in Telugu as well as Tamil films. She last appeared in the film Bhaiaji Superhit(2018) playing Mallika Kapoor. She graduated from primary school through The Cathedral as well as the John Connon school in Mumbai and was head of the school for the entire academic period 1992-93. She then went to Tufts University in the United States to study Bio-genetic engineering where she studied for two years before later switching to Economics.

Amisha was born on the 9th of June, 1975 to a Gujarati family living in Mumbai. The father of Amisha, Amit Patel is an entrepreneur, while his mother, Asha Patel, is a homemaker. Amisha is her name derived from the combination of her parents’ names: Am Amit and Sha from Amit Sha from Asha, and Am from Amit. Sha from Asha which is Amisha.
Career
After her return to India, she joined Satyadev Dubey’s theater group and performed in plays that included one Urdu language play called Neelam (1999) which was written by Tanveer Khan when she was granted permission by her strict parents. While she was there she began modeling.
Her first acting opportunity was an invitation by her father’s classmate, Rakesh Roshan, to perform alongside his son of his, Hrithik Roshan. The film was Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000). The opportunity came shortly following her graduation, but she turned down the opportunity as she was determined to pursue her studies in the US.
Afterward, Kareena Kapoor replaced her and she was not successful. Kareena Kapoor was unable to attend after a couple of days in the principal photography phase and Ameesha Patel was offered another chance to participate in the luncheon with her family.
