The actress attended a school in Indore and completed both her schooling and graduation in the same city. Following her graduation, she made the significant move to Mumbai in 2005 to embark on her acting career.

Ankita Lokhande embarked on her acting career in 2009, starring in Ekta Kapoor’s romantic drama series “Pavitra Rishta.” In the show, she portrayed the character Archana alongside Sushant Singh Rajput and Hiten Tejwani from 2009 to 2014. Her role as Archana made her a household name and a prominent figure in the world of Indian television. In 2013, “Pavitra Rishta” took a generation leap, and Lokhande continued her role by playing Archana’s granddaughter, Ankita Karmarkar, opposite Karan Veer Mehra, until the series concluded in 2014.
