She later graduated from Ashutosh College, affiliated with the University of Calcutta, where she earned a BA degree in Sanskrit. After completing her education, she began her career a few years ago as a small-time TV actress and model in Odia video albums.

Career

At the outset of her acting career, Monalisa primarily worked in small-budget films. She later ventured into South Indian cinema before gaining recognition for her role in “Tauba Tauba,” where she starred opposite Amin Gazi. Her Bollywood debut came with the film “Blackmail.” Monalisa also appeared in a Kannada film titled “Jackpot.” Notably, she became one of the most sought-after actresses in the Bhojpuri film industry. In February 2022, Monalisa and her husband, Vikrant Singh Rajpoot, participated in Star Plus’ reality show “Smart Jodi.” Her appearance in the Colors TV reality show “Bigg Boss” in Season 10, back in 2016, further elevated her fame.
