Plot
The story unfolds with District Collector Madhivadhani (played by Nayanthara) facing challenges in seeking approval from a higher official named Kitty. In her attempt to convince him, she narrates a bone-chilling incident that took place a week ago.
In the village of Kattoor, impoverished people are engaged in a struggle with the police for access to clean water, proper sanitation facilities, and justice against their oppressive landlord. Meanwhile, two boys are seen playing in a river against the wishes of their family, who scold them for venturing there.

In July 2016, reports surfaced that actress Nayanthara had taken on a project directed by newcomer Minjur Gopi, in which she would be portraying the role of a district collector. It was revealed that Nayanthara had already begun filming for the project, and the production was nearing completion.
Soundtrack

According to Sify’s critic, Aramm is described as a “brilliant film that inspires you to wake up and react.” The critic further mentioned that the film is compelling, moving, and stands out as a unique cinematic experience, unlike anything else one is likely to watch that year. Additionally, Ananda Vikatan, a popular publication, awarded the film a score of 60 marks, indicating a positive reception from their end as well.
