Plot

On 25 November 2010, Arjun Shergill, an Indian Army officer, takes on a crucial mission to apprehend Rehman Gul, a notorious terrorist responsible for attacking an Indian army convoy just two days prior. What follows is a high-stakes and intense shootout between the soldiers and the terrorists.

Meanwhile, Sabaha, a key character in the story, retrieves her bag containing her laptop, which holds the vital information needed for the reboot of I.R.A. This crucial reboot allows Arjun to launch a decisive counterattack against the remaining terrorists. With precision and skill, Arjun eliminates each threat, ensuring the safety of innocent lives and the triumph of justice.

Production

Principal photography began in January 2020. Production was put on hold in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The shooting resumed in February 2021.

Soundtrack

The film’s music is composed by Shashwat Sachdev while the lyrics are written by Kumaar and Bjorn Surrao.

Release

Initially planned for a worldwide theatrical release on 14 August 2020, the highly anticipated film faced unforeseen setbacks when shooting was suspended. This delay created a wave of anticipation among eager fans, heightening their expectations for the film’s eventual release. However, due to the prevailing circumstances surrounding the pandemic, the release date had to be pushed once again.

Attack earned ₹3.51 crore at the domestic box office on its opening day. On the second day, the film collected ₹3.75 crore. On the third day, the film had a worldwide gross of ₹4.25 crore, taking a total domestic weekend collection to ₹11.51 crore. As of 14 April 2022, the film grossed ₹19.20 crore in India and ₹3.50 crore overseas, for a worldwide gross collection of ₹22.70 crore.

Critical Response

Critics had varying opinions about the film, with appreciation directed towards its action sequences and criticism aimed at its screenplay. Rachana Dubey from The Times of India rated the film 3.5/5 and described it as a captivating experience from beginning to end.
