Azam Khan (born 10 August 1998) is a Pakistani cricketer who is a part of Islamabad United and Sindh. His international debut was with his Pakistan cricket squad in the month of July 2021.

As the next major star In Pakistan Cricket and the promising child, “Azam Khan” who was accused of being a bodyweight troll is proven to be wrong after he scored amazing cricket to Quetta Gladiator during PSL 5.

Although he was not playing any cricket prior to PSL which has led to some controversy. But his 30 balls and 46 in the match against Karachi Kings after the early fall of wickets was a good example of Azam showing grit and strength under pressure.

Personal Life

The son is Moin Khan, a former Pakistani world cricketer Moin Khan. Owais Khan’s brother is engaged to actress Mariam Ansari.

Career

The player made his List A debut for Pakistan Television in the 2018-19 Quaid-e-Azam One-Day Cup, on September 6, 2018. It was his Twenty20 debut with the Quetta Gladiators in the 2019 Pakistan Super League on 5 March 2019. In October 2020, the team was selected for the Galle Gladiators to play in the inaugural season of the Lanka Premier League. The first time he played in the first class was on December 26, 2020, for Sindh at the time of the 2020-21 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

On June 20, 2021, Khan was named to Pakistan’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squads for their tour of England and the West Indies. The player made the T20I debut on July 16th, 2021, representing Pakistan in a match against England. Then, in August of 2021, he made it to the Barbados Royals’ squad for the 2021 Caribbean Premier League.

Then, in September of 2021, the player was selected as a Pakistani player in 2021’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The following month his place was taken in the team by Sarfaraz Ahmed.
