Plot

In London, Naina Sethi, a young and astute businesswoman with a seemingly perfect family, finds her life turned upside down when she is unexpectedly arrested for the murder of her clandestine lover, Arjun. To navigate this harrowing situation, Naina’s lawyer, Jimmy Punjabi, enlists the services of renowned defense attorney Badal Gupta. Together, they embark on an intense journey to uncover the truth.

As the investigation progresses, Badal reveals the existence of a crucial witness whose testimony could potentially implicate Naina in the crime. In her defense, Naina reveals that she and Arjun were victims of blackmail due to their extramarital affair. They received a summons to a hotel, where Naina was violently attacked. Upon regaining consciousness, she discovered Arjun’s lifeless body alongside the money they intended to use for the blackmailer.

The principal photography of the film began on 14 June 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Shah Rukh Khan, the renowned actor and producer, shared the excitement surrounding the film Badla on 11 February 2019. As the head of Red Chillies Entertainment, the production house behind the movie, he unveiled two captivating first look posters. One featured Amitabh Bachchan’s character, while the other showcased Taapsee Pannu’s character.
