Benjamin Edward Meara Stiller, the second child of comedian Jerry Stiller, was born in New York City on November 30, 1965. He was raised in Manhattan’s Upper West Side. After nine months, he left the University of California at Los Angeles. In 1985, he made his acting debut in a Broadway revival of The House of Blue Leaves.
Personal Life
Stiller married Christine Taylor in May 2000. Taylor was best known for her role in The Brady Bunch Movie (1995), and later in Zoolander. They had two children together before they announced their separation in 2017. However, they continued to attend public events such as the 2019 Emmy Awards.
Career
Two years later, Stiller appeared in Fresh Horses alongside the Brat Pack’s aging members Molly Ringwald, and Andrew McCarthy. Stiller didn’t let the fact that the film was a disaster deter him from writing for Saturday Night Live (SNL) in 1989. After five weeks of being an SNL writer, Stiller described the atmosphere backstage as “very negative”. He left Los Angeles disillusioned.
