Bhagyashree was born on the 23rd of February, 1969. She was born into the Marathi Royal family in Sangli, Maharashtra, India. The father of her mother, Vijay Singhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan was the King of Sangli.
Personal Life
Bhagyashree is a member of her family’s Patwardhan Royal Marathi family from Sangli situated in Maharashtra. She is the daughter of Vijay Singhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan and is currently the Governor of Sangli. Bhagyashree is the oldest of three sisters, with the others being Madhuvanti as well as Purnima. She is engaged to Himalaya Dasani.Dasani and his affectionate spouse were childhood companions. Bhagyashree tied the knot with Himalaya Dasani in 1990, and they were blessed with two offspring, a son and a daughter. Their older son, Abhimanyu Dasani, was born in 1991, while their daughter, Avantika Dassani, made her debut in the web series “Mithya.”
Career
She began her acting career through Kachchi Dhoop – a television serial created by Amol Palekar. The show is inspired by Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women. Her encounter with acting came on the spur of the moment, when her neighbor next door Amol Palekar who was a well-known actor-director, asked her to play the role in his TV show Kacchi Dhoop, as the actress accepted had quit the show abruptly.
Her film debut was in 1989’s big-budget film Maine Pyaar Kiya with Salman Khan. It remains her most popular and successful film to the present. After her marriage, she appeared in three films including Peepat’s Qaid Main Hai Bulbul, K.C. Bokadia’s Tyagi, and Mahendra Shah’s Paayal which she acted in with her husband in the year 1992.
She also appeared with Avinash Wadhawan on Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi (1993). It was her last Hindi film in the 90s and she continued to be in a handful of Tamil as well as Telugu films. Her Telugu debut with the movie Yuvaratna Rana (1998). (2003), Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006), and Red Alert: The War Within (2010).
