Pramod Bhanuka Bandara Rajapaksa popularly referred to as Bhanuka Rajapaksa is a pro-Sri Lankan cricketer, who performs limited internationals in the team of the nation. The left-handed batsman, who bowls right-handed medium. His birthplace was Colombo.

In the midst of College, Bhanuka fell in love with a girl known as Sandrine Pereira Rajapaksa and their romance lasted for quite a while. Rajapaksa chose to marry his wife, and they live with each other in Colombo.

Rajapaksa was married in the presence of his long-time companion Sandrine Perera. The wedding took place on the 5th of April 2021.

Early Career

Rajapaksa began his career in cricket while a student at Royal College Colombo. He was a major player on the Royal College team as both an experienced batsman and a reliable medium-pace bowler. His other interests in sports include swimming and squash.

Domestic and T20 Franchise Career

In the cricket of his home country, Rajapaksa first played for the Sinhalese Sports Club in Sri Lankan domestic cricket. He is also playing with the Barisal Blazers in Bangladesh’s NCL T20 Bangladesh.

In April 2018, He was selected for Galle’s team of the 2018 Super Provincial One Day Tournament. In August 2018, He was included as a member of Kandy’s team 2018. SLC T20 League. In March 2019, the player was selected for Dambulla’s team for this year’s Super Provincial One Day Tournament.

International Career

In September the player was selected for the Sri Lankan Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the series against Pakistan in Pakistan. The T20I debuted in Sri Lanka against Pakistan on 5 October, scoring 32 runs on 22 balls in a 64-run victory. In the second game, Rajapaksa scored 77 runs from 48 balls in the match as Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 35 runs. He was adjudged the winner of the game for his batting skills.

IPL Career

He was bought from the Punjab Kings in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League season in February 2022.
