Alongside Sreenivas, the film featured Nushrat Bharucha, Bhagyashree, Sharad Kelkar, Freddy Daruwala, Karan Singh Chabbra, Rajendra Gupta, and Rajesh Sharma in supporting roles. However, upon its release on May 12, 2023, Chatrapathi faced severe criticism from reviewers for its outdated storyline, screenplay, direction, soundtrack, and lack of originality.

Shivaji, a refugee, and Parvati’s adopted son embarks on a quest to locate his long-lost mother, whom he was separated from years ago in Pakistan due to the jealousy of his brother Ashok (Karan Singh Chhabra), who is Parvati’s biological son. Along his journey, Shivaji encounters Sapna, who becomes his ally in his mission, and the two develop feelings for each other.

Simultaneously, Shivaji confronts Bhairav and Bhavani, who have been causing harm to his fellow refugees. As a result, the refugees begin to refer to him as Chatrapathi. Ashok discovers Shivaji’s survival and collaborates with Shivaji’s adversaries to eliminate him. However, Shivaji triumphs over his enemies and reunites with Parvati. Ashok, having realized Shivaji’s selfless assistance, apologizes for his past misdeeds, and the family embarks on a joyous and contented life together.
