Childhood and Early Life

Wiese was raised in the eastern part of Mpumalanga Province. He spent his childhood in Standerton a town that is famous for its agriculture. He was a student at the high school at the coal mining center of Witbank. David Wiese began playing cricket at age nine.

Domestic Career

Wiese was a major player in his first domestic campaign using both the bat and ball when he played for Eastern during the 2005-06 SAA Provincial Cup, scoring 526 runs with a rate of 37.57 as well as taking 26 wickets for an average of 28.15 during nine First-Class games.

The player also garnered a lot of attention throughout the 2016-2017 CSA T20 Challenge whereas few reports reported that he clocked 173.8 KPH in a game in which he was playing against the Knights. It was later discovered that the error occurred because of a glitch in the system.

International Career

Wiese took part in the T20I debut with South Africa against Sri Lanka on the 2nd of August, 2013. However, he was dismissed from the national team and was assigned to play for the local team after small returns from the three-match T20I game with Sri Lanka.

The South African made the One Day International debut for South Africa against New Zealand on the 19th of August in 2015. He was part of the South African squad for the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 where South Africa was knocked out of the Super 10s
