Early Life

Gautham Vasudev Menon was born on 25 February 1973 in Ottapalam, a town located in the Palakkad district of Kerala. His father, Vasudeva Menon, was of Malayali descent, while his mother, Uma, belonged to the Tamil community. Although he was born in Kerala, Gautham spent his formative years growing up in Anna Nagar, Chennai. Unfortunately, his father passed away in the year 2007.

Education

After completing his schooling, Gautham Vasudev Menon pursued his education at the Madras Christian College Higher Secondary School. He went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mookambigai College of Engineering in Pudukkottai.

Personal Life

Gautham Vasudev Menon is married to Preethi Menon, and the couple has been blessed with three sons named Arya, Dhruva, and Adhya. Uthara Menon, his sister, is a talented costume designer who has collaborated with Gautham on his films since the release of “Yennai Arindhaal” in 2015. Her contribution as a costume designer has been valuable to Gautham’s projects.

Career
