D. Kumaraswamy (born 16 December 1959) is an Indian politician who served as the 18th chief minister of Karnataka the state of the southern part of India between 2006 and 2007. His father was the former prime minister of India H. D. Deve Gowda.
Most commonly referred to as “KumarAnna” (Kumar, the name, and “anna” in Kannada mean “elder brother”) among his fans and acquaintances was a renowned film producer exhibitor, distributor, and distributor within the Kannada film industry. He is the President of Karnataka State Janata Dal (Secular).
Early Life & Education
Kumaraswamy was born in Haradanahalli, Holenarasipura Taluk, Hassan District, Karnataka to H. D. Deve Gowda and Chennamma. Kumaraswamy completed his high school studies at Bangalore’s MES Educational Institution in Jayanagar.
He graduated with his PUC at Vijaya College and earned his B.Sc. at National College in Jayanagar, Bangalore. He married Anita on 13 March 1986, at Palace Grounds, Bangalore. Kumaraswamy. His son is named Nikhil Gowda with Anitha Kumaraswamy.

Though H.D. Kumaraswamy was the child of H. D. Deve Gowda who was a politician from Karnataka and the former Premier of India He was not keen on politics at first. Political Career
As opposed to her father Kumaraswamy did not have a keen interest in becoming a politician at first, since his primary goal was to pursue the field of filmmaking and distribution. But, in the year 1996 General Elections, he entered the political scene. He was elected from the Kanakpura Constituency in Parliament for the eleventh Lok Sabha.
Kumaraswamy requested a second term in 1998, but the incumbent was defeated by congressman M V Chandrashekara Murthy, in the end, Kumaranna was forced to forfeit his deposit to the Election Commission. He was defeated in 1999. once again was defeated, this time in the Sathanur Assembly seat. Things changed for this JD(S) chairman in 2004 when he was able to win the elections for the Ramanagara Assembly constituency.
