During her first One-Day International (ODI) match against Australia on November 11, 2014, at the Sydney Cricket Ground, she achieved her maiden ODI half-century, scoring 55 runs. She followed this with impressive performances, amassing 89 runs from 108 balls in the second ODI and 60 runs from 81 balls in the third. On June 6, 2019, Matthews showcased her bowling prowess by taking 4 wickets for 57 runs against England in Leicester. In a remarkable feat, she notched a century with an unbeaten 100 runs against Pakistan on July 12, 2021.
