Homam Telugu Movie 2008 Cast, Plot, & Soundtrack

The storyline of “Homam” draws inspiration from the acclaimed American film “The Departed,” which, in turn, was adapted from the 2002 Hong Kong film “Infernal Affairs.” This intriguing Telugu thriller takes cues from the gripping narratives of these internationally renowned movies, adding its unique flavor and elements to create a captivating cinematic experience.

Plot

The film opens with a tense conflict between DIG Vishwanath, an honest police officer, and the powerful underworld figure Jawaharlal, also known as Daddy. Mallikarjun, commonly known as Malli, aspires to become a dedicated police officer and excels in his studies.

However, due to his family background, he is denied the opportunity to join the police force. In an unexpected turn of events, Vishwanath sees potential in Malli and recruits him as an undercover agent to infiltrate Daddy’s criminal empire.

Meanwhile, Daddy adopts an orphan named Chandra Shekar, known as Chandu, and manipulates him into becoming a police officer as part of his deceptive plans. Malli gradually earns Daddy’s trust and becomes his trusted associate. Simultaneously, Malli develops feelings for Dr. Mahalakshmi, while Chandu finds himself drawn to his neighbor Satya.
