Career

She was selected as a child actress in the Rajinikanth film Uzhaippali. In Jantar Mantar, her debut film as an adult adopted that character’s name from the film, “Indraja” as her character’s stage name. Then, S. V. Krishna Reddy’s Yamaleela brought her to immediate fame. It ran for nearly an entire year. She was on Thadayam as well as Rajavin Parvaiyile. However, she did not gain traction in Tamil films, as both films did not make an impact at the box office.

She was the female lead in several popular Malayalam films, including the 1999 action thriller Ustaad with Mohanlal and the crime thriller F.I.R with Suresh Gopi The 2002 comedy-drama chronic Bachelor with Mammootty comedy-drama Mayilattam featuring Jayaram and the action-packed 2005 film Ben Johnson alongside Kalabhavan Mani are among her most acclaimed Malayalam films.
