The story revolves around three carefree individuals who move to the city in search of a better life but end up being wrongly imprisoned for a crime they didn’t commit.

Plot

Srikanth is employed in his father’s ladies’ emporium in Jogipet, but he dreams of earning the respect of his fellow villagers by securing an IT job. He challenges his father, saying that he will find a job within two months, and sets off to Hyderabad with his friends, Sekhar and Ravi, who are also unemployed.

Finding accommodation in the city proves challenging, but they ultimately secure a residence in the affluent area of Jubilee Hills. Srikanth develops feelings for his neighbor, Chitti, who reciprocates them. Meanwhile, the Jana Balam Party announces that ministerial positions will be awarded only to deserving candidates with relevant experience.

Chanakya, who has inside knowledge of the upcoming Indo-Asian Games in the city, secures the sports ministry position over his rival, Ramachandra. Chanakya, who also resides in the same apartment complex as Srikanth and his friends, throws a birthday party where Srikanth, who has attended several job interviews and secured a job, shows up uninvited with his friends.

Priyadarshi Pulikonda

Production

In October 2019, the film was announced with Naveen Polishetty, Priyadarshi, and Rahul Ramakrishna as the lead actors. The production was handled by Nag Ashwin under the banner of Swapna Cinema, while the story and screenplay were written by director Anudeep KV. The film’s music is composed by Radhan, and the cinematography is done by Siddan Manohar.

Music

Radhan, who previously collaborated with director Nag Ashwin in Yevade Subramanyam (2015), composed the film score and soundtrack album for Jathi Ratnalu. The album features two songs, “Chitti” written by Ramajogayya Sastry and sung by Ram Miriyala, and “Mana Jathiratnalu” written by Kasarla Shyam and sung by Rahul Sipligunj, which were released as single tracks on 29 January and 19 February 2021, respectively.
