Jerry Seinfeld started his career as a stand-up comic. He was drawn to stand-up comedy following college performances. Budd Friedman’s Improv Club used to provide open mic evenings for Queens College students. After graduation graduating the year 1976, Budd Friedman was appointed to appear in Rodney Dangerfield’s HBO special on NYC’s Catch a Rising Star.
