Janhvi Kapoor was born to the Hindu–Indian Parents. While her father Boney Kapoor has been an Indian film manufacturer who has produced many Bollywood movies, Janhvi’s mother is the late Padma Shri winner Sridevi.

Her mother late Sridevi wanted Jhanvi to get married, not to join the film industry. She has a younger sister named Khushi. She is a step-sister of Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor.
