The film “Kalki” is an exhilarating action thriller helmed by Prasanth Varma and brought to life by the production team of C Kalyan, Shivani Rajasekhar, and Shivathmika Rajasekhar under the banner of Shivani Shivathmika Movies. Adding to the captivating experience, the music for this movie was composed by the talented Shravan Bharadwaj.

Plot

Set in 1947, when India gained independence from the British Raj, a resident of Hyderabad engages in a conversation with a wise senior citizen to delve into the rich history of Kolhapur. This quaint village, nestled near the Nallamala forest, witnessed a significant event that shaped its destiny.

In opposition to the integration of the Hyderabad state into India, the Nizam, ruler of Hyderabad, dispatched a group of Razakars to Kollapur in 1983. Their mission was to dismantle Hindu provinces and temples, causing unrest and turmoil in the region. Amidst this turbulent conflict, tragedy befell the noble and philanthropic ruler of Kolhapur, Raja Balakrishnan Rao.

Following the success of “Awe” in 2018, renowned actor Rajasekhar expressed his eagerness to collaborate with director Prasanth Varma. With the desire to explore different genres and avoid being pigeonholed, Prasanth decided to embark on a commercial film for his second venture.
