Plot

Meanwhile, Kaliswaran, fondly known as Kallis, develops an infatuation for Shreya, a talented chef and a close friend of Meera. As their individual love stories unfold, it is revealed that Meera grew up in an orphanage, lacking a traditional family upbringing. Similarly, Shreya was forced to leave her family behind due to their ongoing struggles with loan sharks in their hometown.

As Siddharth and Kallis continue to enjoy their newfound relationships, they find themselves facing financial difficulties. Unbeknownst to Meera and Shreya, the two friends resort to deceitful practices to make money. Engaging in online shopping scams, they exploit unsuspecting victims for financial gain.

In a scene reminiscent of a moment from Gautham Vasudev Menon’s romantic film, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Siddharth presents a rare and valuable necklace to Meera. Little does she know that this very necklace was used by Siddharth to track her down after her handbag was stolen.

Faced with shame for his involvement in fraudulent activities, Siddharth hangs his head low, anticipating potential consequences such as a suspension for his role in a match-fixing case.

Development

In February 2017, Dulquer Salmaan agreed to team up with debutant director Desingh Periyasamy for a Tamil film. He prioritized this project over another proposed Tamil film by director Ra. Karthik. Desingh disclosed that the film would fall under the genre of a “romantic thriller,” with Dulquer playing the role of a cheerful and carefree young person.

Filming

On November 15, 2017, production work for the film commenced in Delhi, and Dulquer Salmaan joined the shoot three days later, coinciding with an official launch ceremony. However, the shoot was temporarily interrupted due to the smoggy conditions prevailing in Delhi at that time.

Soundtrack

The film’s soundtrack is composed by Masala Coffee, while the background score is composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar. The first single track from the film was released on February 14, 2020, and the full album was released on February 21, 2020.
