Early Life

Born on March 26th, 1985, in Pune, Jadhav comes from a middle-class family with roots in Jadhavwadi, in Madha in the Solapur district. He is the youngest among his siblings, and his father, Mahadev Jadhav, worked as a clerk with the Maharashtra State Electricity Board until his retirement in 2003.

Jadhav currently resides in Kothrud, a western locality in Pune, and began playing cricket at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana. He initially played for the Rainbow Cricket Club in tennis ball cricket tournaments and eventually made it to the Maharashtra under-19 team in 2004.

Education

Jadhav received his schooling from MIT School in Pune and went on to pursue his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mandke College, also located in Pune.

Domestic Career

Jadhav’s cricketing journey began at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana, where he was discovered and eventually picked for the Maharashtra Under-19 team in 2004. In 2012, eight years after his debut, he scored his maiden triple-century. Jadhav’s innings of 327 against Uttar Pradesh was the second-highest score by a Maharashtra batsman in the Ranji Trophy.

IPL Career

Kedar Jadhav entered the IPL arena in 2010, representing the Delhi Daredevils in his debut season, where he made a remarkable impact by scoring a half-century. He was then picked up by Kochi Tuskers Kerala for the next season. Jadhav returned to Delhi Daredevils in 2013 and played for the team until 2015 before being traded to the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 2016 season.

International Career

Jadhav received his first international call-up for the Bangladesh tour in 2014, although he did not get a chance to play in the series. He made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka on November 16th, 2014, marking his entry into the international arena. The following year, he was selected to play against the Zimbabwe cricket team and went on to feature in all the matches of the ODI series. In the third ODI, Jadhav scored his maiden century, a remarkable achievement.
