Kiku Sharda was born into a Marwari business family in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He is the first member of his family to enter the entertainment industry. Kiku Sharda completed his schooling at Don Bosco High School in Mumbai and later pursued a degree in Commerce from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai. He went on to complete his MBA from Chetan’s Institute of Management Studies and Research, also located in Mumbai.

Regarding his arrest, Kiku Sharda was indeed arrested by the Haryana Police on January 13, 2016, for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda by mimicking their leader Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in a comedy show. However, he was released on bail the same day.
