Larry Page was born in East Lansing (Michigan), USA on 26 March 1973. Both his parents were computer science graduates. His father, Carl Victor Page Sr., was a professor of computer science at Michigan State University. His mother Gloria was an instructor in computer programming at Lyman Briggs College.

Larry graduated from East Lansing High School, Michigan in 1991, and later received a Computer Engineering degree from Michigan University. He then enrolled at Stanford University for his Master of Science, in Computer Science, where he met Sergey Brin. He also studied Music Composition and played Saxophone when he was a child.
