Plot

Uthaman Pradeep is a support engineer employed by Cognizant in Chennai. At the age of 24, he is in a secret romantic relationship with Nikitha, the daughter of Adv. Venu Sastri. The couple believes they know each other perfectly and are ready to take their relationship to the next level, but they wait until after Pradeep’s elder sister Divya’s wedding to Yogi, a dentist she admires despite his unattractive appearance.

Eventually, Pradeep finds Nikitha near a beach and they reconcile. Meanwhile, Kaushik confesses his wrongdoing online and is arrested by the police. Venu reveals to the couple that his intention behind asking them to switch phones was not to break their relationship but to see if they truly trust each other despite the obstacles they face.

Development

Following the success of Comali, Pradeep Ranganathan announced his next project, tentatively titled AGS 22, which will be produced by Kalapathi S. Aghoram under the AGS Entertainment banner. Reports suggest that the film will be an adaptation of Pradeep Ranganathan’s short film App(a) Lock.

Casting

Ivana, known for her roles in Naachiyaar and Hero, was signed on to play the female lead in the film. Yogi Babu, who had previously worked with the director in Comali, was cast in a supporting role. Additionally, Raveena Ravi, veteran actor Sathyaraj, and actress Radhika Sarathkumar were also confirmed to be part of the project.

Filming

The film’s shooting was reportedly set to begin in December 2021. On July 22, 2022, it was announced that the entire shoot of the film had been completed.
