Mamta whose full name is Mamata Bandyopadhyay was born on the 5th of January 1955 in Kolkata, India. It is an Indian politician and leader who is a chief minister (aka CM) in Kolkata. Mamta is currently the chief minister for the 9th time in West Bengal and is currently in the position of being in charge until 2023.

Childhood and Early Life
She was born into a Bengali Hindu Brahmin family from Calcutta (now named Kolkata) in West Bengal, India. At the age of 17, Mamta was only 17 years old young, her father passed away because of an absence of medical attention due to her family’s circumstances being not the best.
Mamta completed her Intermediate examinations during Deshbandhu Sishu Sikshalay at the age of the year 1970. Since her childhood, Mamta has always wanted to be a politician and was a part of many discussions and political activities during her time at school.
Education
Mamta was born into a middle-class family, and she studied at Deshbandhu Sikshalay located in Calcutta. Mamta completed her studies at Jogamaya Devi College. Then, Mamta graduated with degrees in teaching from Shri Shikshayatan College and law from Kolkata’s Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College.

Career
Banerjee began the political path at an extremely young age by being the first Congress politician. Between 1976 and 1980, she elects General Secretary for Mahila Congress (I), West Bengal. In 1984’s Lok Sabha election, she became the youngest member of parliament ever beating veteran leader Somnath Chatterjee, who was from the Jadavpur Parliamentary Constituency within West Bengal.
