Death
Philip was killed in Windsor Castle on the morning of April 9, 2021. He was 99 when he died. On April 17 the body lay to rest in St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. Because of COVID-19, just 30 royals were present as they remained separated from each other and were wearing masks.
