Prince Andrew, Duke of York is the son of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and Queen Elizabeth II. As a part of the family royal prince, Andrew was the second in the ascendance line to the throne when his birth.

His formal education started at the palace where he was instructed by a governess. Andrew enrolled in the ‘Heatherdown School located in Berkshire and then enrolled in the highly regarded ‘Gordonstoun School in Scotland which his father and his older brother had been studying prior. After two years of the ‘Gordonstoun School’, the student enrolled at ‘Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth.

When he turned thirteen, He went to the Gordonstoun School in Morayshire, Scotland in Scotland, which was where his father and his older sister, Charles, went ahead of him.

He engaged to American actress and photographer Koo Stark. They were seen having a romantic getaway on an island named Mustique. But, they came under continuous pressure from the media along with the royal palace which eventually led to their split in 1983. In 1997 the year 1997, he was appointed as the godfather of Koo Stark’s daughter.
