Martin James Guptill, a New Zealand international cricketer, was born on 30 September 1986. He plays as the opening batsman in limited-overs formats. Guptill is New Zealand’s first and fifth cricketer to score a double century in a One Day International match. He also holds the record for the highest individual score in Cricket World Cup matches and the second-highest One Day International score of 237 not out.
Guptill has only two toes on his left foot. When he was only 13 years old, he suffered three toe injuries in a forklift accident. He is known as Two Toes in the New Zealand cricket team.
